AQUEL began with a vision – create new ways to see water, and share them.

OUR STORY

• 2003 AQUEL is incorporated in Santa Barbara, California
• 2004 AQUEL’s founder is awarded her first US patent
• 2007 AQUEL is showcased by Building Green, a PBS network filmed series
• 2008 The AQUEL Waterbar™ is awarded No 1 in taste by the University of California (UCSB) water taste team
• 2009 AQUEL is embraced by the Community Environment Council and profiled in Green From the Ground Up, a green-building film documentary adopted as academic curriculum by environmental science programs
• 2012 AQUEL Platinum LEED project installation is identified as among the most sustainable in the state in a 30-month performance history analysis
• 2014 AQUEL pioneers new sensor technology, breaking new ground in environmental softening
• 2015 Waterstone faucets and AQUEL announce a new line of special faucets–in 6 dual water styles and 31 finishes to support AQUEL’s signature Waterbar™
• 2015 The AQUEL Waterbar™ Community is created

AQUEL FOUNDER

Dana Harrison is a Certified Water Specialist with the National Water Quality Association, and consults on water projects. As an educator, Dana has taught sustainable water treatment through Santa Barbara City College's (SBCC) Environmental Program and the American Institute of Architects (AIA.) Most recently, she founded the AQUEL Waterbar Community™, an industry first third-party verified water and energy usage tracking and education program.
